So do we have to wait until we get an official letter from AM before we can take out car in for checkup.

 

I had my car in for a new door strut and they did the Seat heater recall in the fuel filler door update. Of course after the fuel filler update I went to a gas station and pushed the fuel release button and the door didn't open until I jiggled it may be an adjustment is in order.
Back to the door strut, I had the driver side done ( it would not stay open unless the car was not level ). I thought the passenger side was fine till I compared it with the driver side what a difference the door opens by itself once you open it.

If like me you are the third or more owner then how will they get a letter to you ?

 

I am the second owner of my car, when the dealer input my Vin number into the Aston Martin dealer computer network the update and recall came on the screen so I did not need a letter they simply performed work.

More than likely they will find you. I was notified about the gas pedal recall about six months after I purchased my Vantage through a private party.
