Stupid Tire Question

Is there any difference between an Aston Martin-approved 235/40-19 tire and any other 235/40-19 tire of appropriate speed rating?
Thanks!

As long as all four tires match, you're good. Then it's just a matter of what characteristics you're looking for - dry/wet/snow/etc traction, tread life, road noise, price, etc etc etc.

you can even go 245/40-19, I like the look for my 2009 DB 9
i installed 245/40-19 (original 235/40-19)Continental Extreme contact DWS
and for read I installed 285-35-19 (original 275/35-19)

It makes car look more aggressive

I'm also running 245/40-19 front and 285-35-19 rear. I got Bridgestone RE-11 and would never go back to OE's Bridgestone RE050A.

The tires are usually the same size, but the AM approved tire could have a different interior construction that they would have approved for use on their cars. The different construction would allow the tires to be best suited to the performance characteristics of the car. Would you see the difference? Hard saying, but some who drive lots of different tires can see the difference.

Just make sure all tires match front to rear. Please call me if I can help.

The OEM tires aren't that great and lots of people have switched them for others. A bunch of us are running Michelin PSS and love them.

wildcat, yvr, and myself (and I'm sure others) are also running slightly larger tires - these are the same size as found on the V8VS and fit perfectly on the OEM/OE-sized wheels.
