Bad, bad luck..........

A few days ago I pulled the trickle charger to my 06 DB9. Today I decided to take her for a quick drive. I tried to start it and nothing happened. I looked on the dash a noticed the "Check Battery Off Switch" indicator on. I then remembered that I did accidentally pushed it while I was trying to plug the charger in. I did the same thing last year and did the "reset yellow button under the seat" procedure. So I was going to do that again.......here's the problem.....the last person to seat in the passenger seat was fairly tall, so he adjusted the seat as far back as it could go and at a incline. Well since the battery is shut off, the electric seats don't work. So I attempted to manually adjust via the lever on the side......but it's not working

Now I can't adjust the seat to even get to the battery

Yes, manual seat latch is broke. I'm unable to raise the seat to get to the battery. I do see a few electrical plugs under the seat. Possibly supply 12v to the leads inside the plug to move the seat? Anybody that has access to a wiring diagram? I have no options right now

Open the bonnet. On the left side you will see a positive battery terminal. Clip a lead there and the negative onto the chassis. Be careful not to spike the electrics , so I would do negative first.

Thank you very much for the info. So you basically mean jumping it with another battery? This will bypass the shut off button?

I believe this will give you power to move the seat and access the bypass button.

Someone else had the identical problem on either the PH or AMOC forum. I think they finally were able to reset using a coat hanger. That's what I seem to recollect. I don't remember them being able to bypass the switch via the underhood terminals to power the seat. Do a search there, it may save you some time and effort.

Could just do what Vergis said and jump another battery to the front under the bonnet.. Ex: use booster cables as if your boosting the engine to start, will apply power to the other side of the car off switch. This will allow you to power the seat forward

Or you could try and remove the side trim of the seat to reach in and pull the linkage manually and unhinged the upper seat cushion latch due to the level not working... I'd go with the booster cable method though

Thank you all for your help. I used jumper cables, connected to another car, and that supplied power where I was able to push the seat up, disconnected the cables, push the reset button, and the car started right up!

Thanks again!
