Scored a couple of used clear tail lights on EBay for my 2009 DB9.
After reading the post here on how to swap red for white, I discovered that the red tail lots have three fixed bolts and the clear have two fixed and one remove able 6mm.
One of my lights arrived with the removable and the other didn't. I called the Aston dealer to see if I could buy just the one and they didn't have any, but told me that. I could just take one of the fixed ones off the red one and use an impact wrench to put it into the hole on the clear one since the metal was soft.
Rather than make one red one unusable, and unable to sell on EBay, I decided to
Order a kit with new bolts and washers from Aston Martin Bits. The price with shipping for four bolts and six washers was £57, about $80.
I figured a week to ship...after two weeks I got an email saying that the order had been processed and no delivery schedule. I emailed them to request this from them a week ago,and have been ignored.
Anyone else deal with them and is this normal business for them?

Very normal. They are super nice people but not fast. Many times the items you ordered are not actually in stock. They have to wait to get them then ship them on to you. I have used them a couple of times and everything arrived safely but never quick.
I've used them a couple times. The shipping to the States is a killer but they've been fair to deal with. Answer emails when I send a queries about anything not listed on their site. Wish you'd have posted about the bolts. I've got a broken headlight I replaced that I'd be happy to strip parts off. Also have a taillight I bought on eBay that I cut open to experiment with I could have taken a bolt off for you.
I had an email conversation with them about getting something for a project. Response time was great, answers were thorough.
Only downside I've heard about dealing with them is exactly what you stated - it takes forever to get your order.

I have used them, they were tops and we had a 4 day service from UK to Cape Town SA, Im not sure of the details but my engineer who dealt with them was very impressed with there attention to detail, I assume what we needed was in stock, my office in the UK googled there phone number and it turns out that they are also a great respected second hand motorcycle part dealer I give them the thumbs up

I can't say enough nice things about astonmartinbits - they always go to great lengths to answer any questions I've had.. I've also never had any issues with speed of delivery either and they are usually super responsive and friendly.
