battery changed at dealer $500...New tires

Never make that mistake again.... I of course after the fact thought about changing it myself and realized how easy it is.....

Whoops

They were going to charge me $1700 for new tires, I declined.

I am going with hankook ventus v12 evo2.

Front 245/40ZR/19: $194/per
Rear 285/35ZR/19: $268/per

Like $15/per to have them put on at my local mechanic.

Anyone have any experience with these tires?

Thanks

I had them for a couple years.

My experience, yours may vary:
They're a good, inexpensive summer tire. I didn't like them in the rain.
On track, I could throttle steer easily and accurately. I can't do that with my Michelin PSS tires because they've got far more grip than the Hankooks (the extra grip forces me to be a better driver since I can't 'fix' things as easily mid-turn). That lack of grip, however, makes the Hankooks more fun. I found them to be very predictable.

I prefer Pilot Super Sports, but they're backordered into next year and much more expensive. I didn't have any real qualms against the Hankooks aside from wet handling.

Thanks for the info, I might write a review once I have them broken in.

Is that $1700 for the Hankooks or something else? My dealer gave me the same price as the local tire store for Mich PSS installed/balanced/etc. Both were hundreds less than t-rack.

The mounting brackets for the Battery make it a little tricky to jockey-around to get out. Once out, replacement is easy. Total takes a little less than 1-hour. I bought a high-end Bosch AGM battery for about $150 from Pep-Boys (of all places!).

The $1700 was for Bridgestone potenza tires.

I had hankooks on my SL55. They drove nice and were quiet. I didn't drive it much and they flat spotted so bad that the had to be replaced. Only put about 1000 miles on them in about 3 years.

I got these tires for my BMW. Changed from runflats. Amazing how cheap they were! Had them for a year so far and no issues!
