Not sure when the Ford ECU was replaced with current version, but doesn't appear to work on 2012+ V12 auto models.

I was told by a AM tech that this shouldn't be done often. Not sure why. I only do it in spring.

The oil finds the lowest point and collects there. Being able to crank the engine and build oil pressure is a great feature. On my previous Porsche with a dry sump I had to pull a fuse to disable the fuel pump to accomplish this. Think about it.

Hey guys, I have a 2011 V12 vantage and have noticed recently that if I stop for gas or something and then try and restart the car a few minutes later the car is taking awhile to turn over.

When I get in for a cold start the car fires up in 1 second or so. When it has been warmed up and I have to turn it off for a few minutes it will take 3-5 seconds to fire up. Just wondering if this is normal. Every time it does not fire up immediately I am crossing my fingers hoping I don't get stranded.

Let me know what you guys think. I just bought this recently so still trying to learn the quirks of the Aston.

I do the extended storage start procedure after not driving a couple days, as I have a unique location, I live at the top of a long hill, the last 1/4 mile climb in 1st gear. Also, my mechanic knows to do this upon starting after an oil change.

Depressed both the clutch and accelerator on my 2014 Vantage V8 and the technique worked perfectly
