How to fish a wire from rear fuse box to battery?
How to fish a wire from rear fuse box to battery?
In my 2007 V8 Vantage, I need to run a wire from the trunk (boot?) fuse box area behind the right-side access panel to the area behind the seats where the battery is located.
Anyone ever done this before and have any helpful hints?
Thanks!

For clarification, I need to get line-out wires from my satellite radio receiver that is mounted next to the rear fuse box to the aux-in ports for my Dension Gateway that is installed behind my seats near the battery.
I have.
I pulled the weather striping for the hatch up to free it, and pulled the side carpeting back, there is a surprising amount of the space behind the carpeting. depending on the gauge of the wire, you can sneak it between the back separator panel and the side with out having to remove the the side panel below the back side window.
I don't have any pictures with me right now. but it was pretty easy to see how once I pulled the carpeting back.

Is the weather stripping just held on by friction? I thought it might be but didn't want to just start pulling on it.
Did you remove the side panel below the back side window? My cable isn't thick but it has RCA-type plugs on the end.

The weather striping will pull up, it has some friction.
I would try to route the cable where you can push it in the corner seam without having to feed the larger RCA plugs through. it that makes sense.

I was just out in the garage fiddling with it. The weather strip pulls up fairly easily, the carpet doesn't pull back too far, even after pulling out the red plastic clips that hold it in place. It's stuck under the alcantara-covered headliner panel that extends into the trunk. Did you pull the carpet out from under that piece?
I get what you are saying about the corner seam, I think I am just going to have to play around with it and see what works. It also seems like if I remove the panel below the rear side window there would be tons of room. I have a set of interior trim tools, it seems like that side panel is held in place with one screw and then probably some clips.

I'm not sure about that top carpet piece meeting with the alcantara, mine is a 2015, and I was able to fish it around the cross brace and drop it down. Mine was smaller cable than RCA (For a rear camera), so may it fit easier.
Good luck.
Good luck.

Just to follow up - I ended up pushing the cable into the gaps between the panels using a plastic trim tool. I did pull up the trunk weatherstripping to pull back the carpet, that gave better access. I also removed the single screw that holds the bottom of the trim panel below the rear quarter window so that I could pull that out a bit, that gave enough room to conceal the wire totally.
