Beltronics STR-i+ and AL Priority Jammers 2011 V12 Vantage install pics

Hey guys, just wanted to post some pics of a new install. I had the Beltronics STI-R+ Radar detector installed and the AL Priority Laser Jammers.

I had the system installed by Columbus Car Audio in Columbus, OH who did a fantastic job. There is not much to photograph as 99% of the system is hidden but I did take some pictures of the laser jammers and internal remotes and displays. So far the system has been wonderful, the AL Priority system also doubles as parking sensors which I have set to go off at 2 feet just in case the Aston sensors accidentally get turned off.

Normally I would have gone with the Passport 9500ci but since their laser jammers will not block the newer guns like the dragon eye I decided to go with the AL Priority system and give that a try. I have only had it for a few days so I have not had much chance to really give it a good test. I will try and come back with a more comprehensive review of the system in a few weeks once it has undergone more extensive testing.

Here are some pictures of how it turned out.

2 Laser shifters installed in the front grille. They are difficult to see luckily as I was worried it might spoil the look for the front.

Beltronics and AL Priority controllers mounted in center console

Al Priority blue diode mounted in dash.

Thanks man, I tried pretty hard to find some good install pics before I decided on this system and they were impossible to find. Hopefully these will help someone else make a decision in the future.

Everything they did with the exception of the LED hole in the dash can be reverted back to stock very easily which is a nice bonus.

I really like the jammers with the AL Priority system as they are much smaller than with the passport, or K40 systems. I have a passport system on my S5 and the jammers are so wide they would not have been able to fit in the Aston grille. This leaves the only install location down by the front parking sensors which is to low on the car to allow the jammers to cover the whole front. I did a lot of research on all the jammer options on the market and AL Priority is definitely the best system all around. Again, I would like to get back on here and leave a review once I get a little more time with it.

Cartunes on Roswell Rd sells the AL's all day long. They are imported as parking sensors, LOL!

I pm'ed you the breakdown so you have it. Basically though I had to outsource the mirror to www.radar-mirror.com which was $499 and then I think it was about $1299 for the install. Certainly not on the low end but I was willing to pay the extra to have someone do a good job and baby the car throughout the install. I did check with my local Aston Dealer and they wanted around $2,500 for the project and that is before I mentioned the mirror install.

Yeah, out of the box they only work as parking sensors. You have to download the latest firmware which upgrades them to the laser jammers.

Further, I think there is a button in the bluetooth app that lets you factory reset it pretty quickly. The actual retail packaging actually says nothing about laser jammers at all. It only talks about the parking sensor application. I would imagine you could use these in states that it is illegal and just show them they are parking sensors. Of course if you get gunned you would have to slow down pretty quick and disengage the jammers and let the cop get an actual speed reading on you.

Agreed, now I just have to get a few rock chips filled in from the previous owner and get some PFF on there and I will be all set!
