Hi Guys,
I've just sold my beautiful Z4 MCoupe, that I had for 5 years, so that I could get into an AMV8.
There's a car that I'm interested in but it's based in Arlington VA, I live in WA state. Does anyone live in the VA area that could check the car for me? Does anyone have a reputable company that could do a PPI on the car?
It's a one owner, carfax and autocheck clear, 2013 V8Vs Tungsten Silver with 10,689 miles priced at $78k. It is fully loaded. Would you consider that good value? It's at a Maserati dealership.
Thanks for your advice and guidance. I can't wait to get into one of these!
There are a few of us that live in the area. I'd be happy to check it out buy I've got an insanely busy week and weekend ahead of me. If they're open on Monday I might be able to swing by, though. There's an Aston dealership in Tysons Corner, which isn't far from Arlington, they can do the PPI. Ideally, someone could check the car out, test drive it over to Tysons for the PPI, and then you could go from there.
I would look at it also if Telum can't. What's the name of the dealer?
Telum01 and Deckman, thanks for the offer. Deckman, seeing as Telum01 is busy at the moment could you drop by and check this car out for me? If you thinks she's good then I can arrange a PPI.
Thanks guys!
Just an update. I can't thank Deckman enough for taking the time to go and view this car for me. He did a meticulous job and sent me a bunch of pictures and a comprehensive review). Overall the car is in pretty good condition however there are a few issues. The leather on the dash is peeling away (the dealer said they are going to repair this but it's funny they never mentioned it to me on the phone) and there appeared to be oil seepage around the gearbox (obviously this was hard to verify without putting it on a lift). Some scratches were evident on the external paintwork and a couple on the interior. I sent this information to the dealer and I'm awaiting their response. In essence, I don't think I will move forward with this car.
Once again, I can't thank Deckman enough for his help with this.
I already have another two cars on my list.
No problem looking at the car. When looking for any Aston Martin the nature of brand forces you to look across the country. Last Spring when I was in the hunt there was one in Texas I was interested in and a member here looked at it for me. That's one of the great thing about this forum. Chances are you can find someone near the car of interest to look at it for you. What goes around comes around and it was my pleasure to help out. When you sent me the message that the sales guy said the car was flawless little alarm bells went of in the back of my head. There is no such thing as a flawless used car - almost anyway.
You will find the right one. Be patient. This is the time new cars start coming up for sale and the yours is out there somewhere.
