DB11 Review by Clarkson
That's true, but I'm not sure this interior ever will....very ordinary. Existing interiors are unique and look/feel special, and are unlike any other brands. This one looks like your typical high end German car....blah!

besides this, the exterior design is not growing on me as well.
The silhouette is no where as good looking as the predecessor and the roof line looks like a hat.
Overall I'm not sure if painting pillars in a different color ever made a car better looking.

...they were all broadly the same and they were using tech that was starting to look old-fashioned.
Unquote.
The trouble with modern tech stuff is that it will always look dated in a year. IMO, AM (or at least the Vantage) does not need that stuff to make it desireable.

Just this morning I drove this very car, it's what the dealer called a pre production model.
Yes it's in Cape Town and my god it's breath takingly beautiful!,, at ZAR 5 million.
You could feed a Town if ANC supporters for a year on that kind of Tom! ( I accept none of you want to)
So pre production was explained as none of the body panels line up perfectly, this car had done 12000km of hard driving from many journalists and if I was not a humble undercompensated pilot for the rich and famous...... I would have taken it home.

Sadly instead I took home a quote to replace the timing cover gasket on my Vantage

Yep the interior looks like the designer took cues from a Star Trek uniform designer .
But .......it goes like scared cat
And if I owned a DB5 bin lorry I would have a smile a couple of miles wide for sure ...

I like the interior, but this color combination is just plain ugly... get a monochromatic color scheme going on and the extra wavy stitching won't look so busy.
Does the Nav screen not fold away if you so choose? I hate that if so and it would be my biggest complaint.

I had a look in a couple at the AM Dealer in Walton On Thames when I collected my new (to me) V12V. The interiors definitely look better in the flesh and with the right colour combination could be made to look great in my opinion. They're just different. Better than the Vanquish/Vantage etc? No, but they're not horrible.
