Sport shift 1... transmission and transaxle oil...is diy possible?

If not how much is a fair cost to get transmission and transaxle changed in socal?

Why is diy not possible?

DIY is possible, so long as you only do the gear oil and don't mess with anything related to the ASM's solenoids, clutch line, etc. Just drain the box and fill it and you'll be fine.

On the sport shift make sure you use the correct fluid from Aston Martin (bot 0270A I believe)

What's this Shell S6 AXME oil??? According to local dealer that's what they use on Sport Shift. He said they have both Castrol and Shell. Same oils just different brands. Is this right?

Not familiar with the shell product and whether it's a direct replace for the bot 0270a
Maybe Irish can weigh in on this?

Its not. Thats only for ZF transmission.

For Sportshift its only Castrol 0270a.

BTW Redpants started selling Castrol 0270a on his website. So much cheaper than so local dealer! One local dealer wanted $85/quart!

The new Shell oil is not close to the BOT270A at all. The specs for both are on this page:
