Another Tire Thread. - V8 Vantage S
Sorry for another tire/rim thread.
I've searched through almost all threads I can find with tire and rim sizes, but I noticed many people haven't listed their tire sizes.
I'm working on a new set of wheels with Redpants and want to ensure I'm not too far out of my mind.
Here's what I'm looking at:
Option 1:
Front: 9.5 x 20" Offset 45; Tires: 265/35/20; 7.45mm ride height gain and wheel arch loss / 8.7mm closer to suspension, 16.7 mm further out
Rear: 11 x 20" Offset 53; Tires: 305/30/20; 4.45mm ride height gain and wheel arch loss / 6.7mm closer to suspension, 18.7 mm further out
Option 2:
Front: 9.5 x 19" Offset 45; Tires: 265/35/19; -5.25mm ride height, and wheel arch loss / 8.7mm closer to suspension, 16.7 mm further out
Rear: 11 x 19" Offset 53; Tires: 305/30/19; -8.25mm ride height gain and wheel arch loss / 6.7mm closer to suspension, 16.7 mm further out
with either instance, I do not plan on lowering my car, and will be getting Michelin PS4S Tires.
Anyone see any issues with the 20" tires rubbing or sticking out too far?
I'm leaning to the 20" as it will raise the car slightly, and reduce the wheel arch gap, whereas the 19" wheels will do the opposite.
Apologies agin for the redundant thread, just couldn't make out all the tire sizes from the various threads :-)
Also, is it possible to have BC whee's painted, then diamond cut before glossing to get a two-tone similar to the Aston Vantage S 10-spoke wheels?
Thanks in advance

Can't comment on whether the 20 inch will be a problem, however I am glad to see you are keeping the same aspect ratio (35 front and 30 rear) with both the 19 and 20 inch tires. Too often when going to a a larger wheel size the aspect ratio is sacrificed in order to maintain the same rolling tire diameter.
Thanks for this thread.
I started to research a little last week as well.
Since I lowered my Vantage, I can't pass any speed bumps anymore and limited myself taking her to work.
I love the design of the 19" sport pack wheels but they look too small now.
I was thinking if I can raise the diameter of the wheels to get a little more ground clearance.
Most Vantage owners trying to stick to the original diameter and move to 305/25/20 (rear) tires.

Awe man.... I was hoping to get more feedback on various wheel and tire sizes people are using.
Can anyone confirm definitively that the 265/35/20 front and 305/30/20 mentioned with the offsets above would clear suspension, brakes etc?
My preference is to place an order this week, and am terrified of ordering something that will be problematic in the future
I can see where some are running 305/25/20; but fuvenbthe super stiff ride of the "S" I'm hoping to maintain more rubber for cushion.
Again, I know there are lots of threads on wheels, but not a lot of specifics around all the sizes people are running and the experiences therewith...

That's the site I used to get the information listed above.
The 20" wheels with tires indicated will adjust total tire diameter from 682.1mm to 691mm on the rear, and 678.6mm to 668.1mm on the front.
This site cannot however, confirm I will not have any rubbing or other unforeseen issues :-(
Since you aren't lowering the car, you should be fine. Even as low as my grey car is, I haven't had rubbing issues at all - not during normal driving, or hard cornering on track or even during catastrophic bumps that destroyed wheels.
Option 1's tires are considerably taller, though. You'll have a slightly-off speedo (you'll be going faster than the speedo says), and less tire clearance around the wheel wells. But you'll get a slightly higher ride height, so that will help with scraping. You should be fine, but I definitely wouldn't consider lowering the car afterwards.

That front speedo will likely be off 3-4mph which is starting to be a lot I would think.
