I understand these are fairly inexpensive and only require minimal amount of work. They all do look great. But, almost everyone who sees mine loves them. Of course I do also and helps to dress up the interior. Just adding these so others can see what is possible. 007JB and Pikajew both got theirs done at Exoticare also. Anything you desire they can make. All of ours are made from leather made for the floor mats. They are extremely high quality and mine are still like new 5k miles and almost 3 years later.
such a GREAT idea. I just ordered the mats from that sidte and the patches on ebay...... very cool thanks for the posting and narrowing down the color that matches.

But rather than risk destroying my OEM mats, I picked up a set of mats from qualitycarmats.com (link http://www.qualitycarmats.com/"]here)--$91.95 shipped so they are super affordable. Here are a few pics; I'm impressed with the quality.
I opted to get the heal pad for the drivers side mat:
Btw, before I ordered, they offer free color samples on their website...I ordered 3 different tones of gray since I had no idea what color would match best. (On the under side of the battery panel cover in my car, I found a label that indicated the carpet color is "Lightweight Phantom" so I knew it wasn't Obsidian black). Here are the color samples I got:
And here are the samples laid out in the footwell of my car. It was a toss-up between "Charcoal" and "Graphite". The lighting here is a little deceptive as the Graphite had a twinge of blue in it--which didn't match. Therefore, I ended up selecting Charcoal:
Next up, glue the patches I sourced off eBay to the mats. In order to achieve the 'embroidered' look, I decided to trim out the plush carpeting where the patch would be glued. Once I figured out where I wanted to the logo placed on the mat, I masked off the perimeter so I could carefully give the plush a 'haircut':
My Dremel tool with cutoff wheel does the work nicely. I didn't go too crazy--I simply wanted the patch to sit below the carpet pile once glued down:
Here's the glue I used...picked it up at Michael's art/craft store. It dries clear too so if some oozes out the sides of the patch, it will be invisible:
Here's a couple shots of the patch installed. It sits down in the carpet pile nicely--looks as if it was embroidered right on the mat:
Here are the mats done, ready to be installed!
Installed on the passenger side...
...and the drivers side:
The color is VERY close to the OEM carpet color. I'm very happy with the results. I hate spending lots of money on car mats since they are supposed to get 'dirty'; so now I won't get mad when one of my kids tracks crap onto these mats.
what does the "serged" binding mean on the ordering for the mats??? it was a 9 dollar adder, but the total price with shipping was about 100 bucks
i got the mats in the mail today............ they are MUCH lighter the obsidian black interior of my meteorite grey vantage. I got the charcoal as suggested, but i think the "graphite" might have been a better match. however, ill go with it, as it lightens the interior up a little and wont show the dirt as much. thoughts????? now, going to give the mats the "hair cut" and install the Aston Martin patch.
saw the mats in the daylight and the "charcoal " is way too light . they almost look green, like a forest green. your pictures of you working on them is pretty accurate.. no way its a match for the obsidian black interior .
so, off they go to be returned. what about the plastic heel protector? mine didn't come with that.

if your interior carpet color is anything but my color (phantom gray), I recommend ordering a range of free samples before ordering the mats to get best color match. Obsidian Black is definitely darker than phantom gray.
The heal protector was an option when I ordered. Perhaps they removed the option.

I went with a grey on my phantom grey interior and like the lighter contrast instead of dark or black... makes the logo stand out ana looks nice at night with the LED lighted interior

looking for the same. What color did you end up getting?
I wanted to add another option to this custom car mat thread. I liked the idea of gluing Aston Martin patches to aftermarket mats but I wanted larger patches than the 4.5” x1” ones normally found on ebay, etc.so I had some 9”x2” embroidered patches custom made. I used the same process (cutting down the carpet pile and using glue) and am happy with the results below. The mats came from GG Bailey and were about $100. Since I had to order a batch of patches, I have 8 left over and can part with them for $30/pair (including USA shipping) which is my cost. Send me a PM if you’re interested.
Crazy... I Just Saw this Thread a Few Days ago, Took a Pic Last Night, I Had to Have some Green In The Car.
Did this Weeks ago.
Lloyd's Mats $99 & $5 Patches on Ebay as Well.
Such a small thing makes a big change. I did mine over 3 years ago and around 10000 miles, and they still look great. We al have supraholic for coming up with this in the first place.
