Interior Door Pull

Dies anyone know if the door pull can be replaced without removing the interior door cars?

I have some CF pulls I want to put on now that the leather armnoads came in, but want to make sure before I start the job.

Trying to avoid removing the entire inside door panel

The WSM doesn't provide much detail

Thanks

I’ve pulled my interior door pulls off before and it’s a fairly simple process.

It was two or three hex bolts and a small nudge. The door cards can stay. Very easy.

Thank you!!

Swapped the passenger side this evening. Super simple. One question: is the velvet insert unique for the CF vs standard pull? It doesn’t appear to carry over as the CF armrest does not have the notches to hold it in place.

Fun fact: weights
CF door pull: 21.9 oz
STD door pull: 40.9 oz

Weights are with leather arm pads attached. I used wing nuts from Home Depot for the CF pads which would add a TINY amount of weight :-)

Do you have pictures to share? I’m interested in how nice the carbon looks.

Mine were pulled off and wrapped in gloss black.

Didn’t see any velvet on mine.

I’ll try to take pictures tomorrow in the day time.

The CF looks really nice. It’s glossy and very “3Dishâ€

The velvet is the small liner on the inside of the handle as you go to pull door closed from inside.

I’ll post pics tomorrow :-)

Thanks again for the assist!!!

Pictures attached as requested.

The velvet piece is the same for all door pulls. Upon research, I found they plastic inner cover installs on the new CF pull via a screw, whereas the standard door pull leveraged pins and tabs built into the arm...

Pictures of old and new pulls attached, along with the inner piece wrapped in “velvetâ€

Thanks again!!

The carbon door pulls look awesome! Very nice.

It looks like the leather armrest is a different shape than your old ones. Did they come with the carbon door pulls?

Thanks man!

I’ve seen the pulls available with and without the pads. As I picked these up from a scrapped Vantage with beige interior, i had to order new pads from my local dealer.

New pads were 7-800 if I recall, and took about 4 months to receive

Lots of recent work to the Car, but I’m super happy with all of it! :-)

Damn that CF pulls look good. I am looking to upgrade mine. Did you go to a car junkyard to source the pulls? How much did they run you, if you don't mind me asking.
