Yes $5k for just the flywheel. Prices changed a few months ago. So if anyone is in the market, I would suggest the twin plate from Velocity.

 

I was reading this post and wish that is all a clutch replacement cost.
I checked with Newport Beach Aston Martin and they wanted $21.5K to replace the clutch on a 2013 AM Vangage S.
Not sure what the dealers out here are smoking

 

Newport Beach AM are Thieves. THey are one of the highest priced dealers in the country.

Get it done either at Galpin if you have to use a a dealer, or speak to John at https://www.europeanautoreseda.com - It'll be under $10k but buy all the parts yourself and supply them, because he marks up parts a fair bit. They've done hundreds of clutches and have AMDS.

Pasadena Motorcars is a Dealer of ours and can probably install one of our twin plate units for half that.

 

If and when I need a clutch I would look into shipping the vehicle to velocity.

 

You will likely get reamed on both shipping and import round trip fees if you're in the USA. Cross border shipping is a nightmare at the moment.

 

Might be cheaper to drive there from Florida (smile)

 

I know a guy in California that does clutch installs using Velocity parts. With the money you save you could afford to install a tune to complement the tune and avoid the clutch rattle at idle.
