Unless you mean the 7000 series, this is my thought too, which is why I may wait to try and find a deal on the TLX model. That said, you can buy frame extensions for the smaller model. Just note the extensions are model specific.

I have the 5,000 # model that will lift all my vehicles, including my 1500 ram pick up...
