Key fobs

So i replaced the batteries in my key fobs today... one glass and two plastics. . the plastics were no problem... there's a good thread here for that...

the glass fob was more difficult... it was pretty beat up, a few chips in the glass and the tiny screws on the back were stripped in their hole. . after a little bit of prying and unscrewing them I was able to slide the chrome steel sleeve off. .

The guts is one of the worst pieces of engineering and fabrication I'd ever seen. . it was full of dirt and bottom panel was broken off at the glass. .

while i had it apart, i decided to spruce it up and wrapped the panels with a little matte CF wrap i had laying around...

turned out ok. .i may try to get it a bit better but for now, going to keep it on since i don't use the glass key all the time

How does it feel in the docking station, no sticking with the extra layer of film?

No Problem, Its a matte film so it is real thin... still has a texture. I like how it tuned out... Don't use the glass key much at all
