OP - I think you emailed me already, but just for everyone's benefit:

The V8V originally came with 355mm fronts (the rears are the same for all MY.) Those 355mm fronts are the ones we sell the Porterfield R4-S 1165 for. 2011 when the V8VS came out, those used the 380mm front rotors which take the more expensive pads you're referring to (although the Porterfields we sell are less than 20% of the cost the dealer quoted you.) From 2011 to 2013 there's some of both, and 2013-on they switched over to the co-cast option as well as the 2-piece 380mm rotors on all the cars.

So rears for all: http://www.velocityap.com/Aston-Vant...in-pf-rear.htm

Front for 355: http://www.velocityap.com/Aston-Vant...n-pf-front.htm

Front for 380: http://www.velocityap.com/Aston-Vant...-front-v8s.htm

[QUOTE=powerbeautysoulAM;4762448]Labor is $360 for front and $360 for rear.

I assume the quote you received is for the cost to just switch out the pads without changing the rotors. If so, the quote you received is way too high. Any local brake shop can change out the pads in an hour - no more than $100 in labor cost. I did mine in a couple of hours. Changing brake pads on an Aston is simple. Redpants has a how-to video.

They told me for a 2013 V8V (non S), that the R4-S model #s:

6 Piston Front and 4 Piston Rear
Fronts AP1990
Rears AP1165

4 Piston Front and 4 Piston Rear
Fronts AP1165
Rears AP1166

Stuart says 6 Piston Front and 4 Piston Rear
Fronts AP1291
Rears AP1166

dpath is an unknown quantity at this point
I can verify that Stuart’s information is correct for V8V’s with 6 piston front brakes.
