CGT price discrepancy
CGT price discrepancy
I was checking in on the CGT listings to see what the ask is, these days. I checked Dupont and was surprised to see the big delta in pricing. There are three 04s listed, ranging from $265K to $429K.

Is anyone here familiar with these cars? Could you explain what the reason behind the spread could be? Are there any stories to the red one and the GT silver e.g offered by Park Place?
TIA

Thanks for all your replys.
Unfortunately, I'm not in a position to buy a CGT, but I enjoy following the market.
As far as the CGT being extremely rare, I'd have to disagree. At >1200 e.gs, I don't think the car would be classified as rare, certainly not extremely rare. Cars produced in the double or low triple digits, I'd agree are extremely rare.
I do however agree that sales values are highly subjective. That seems to be a likely reason for the price spread ($265K-$429K).
Surely there must be someone reading this post that is familiar with the Park Place CGT. With such low miles, could it be that the car already has acquired a story or two, or is it simply priced according to the market?

Only 600 US spec cars. You are right, not "extremely" rare, but certainly rare enough.
Thanks all for your replys. I agree that maintenance issues could swing the car a few $10K in either direction. However, the Park Place ad states that all maintenance is up to date. Perhaps this (~$300K) is where the market is for an 04?

If your talking about the car at Park Place is WA it had $100k in repairs from a accident, which can be a couple panles on a CGT. A good number of these cars are wrecked and that's why the prices are all over the map.I know a couple pristine exapmples that recently sold in the 350-360 range with under 5k.

Carfax means nothing. So many innacurate reports. My SL55 shows accident, and after a thorough inspection at MBZ we found it has never even been painted on! On the other hand, My CLS63 which was in a pretty good accident, both fenders were replaced, has a perfectly clean carfax! Those reports are garbage and a rip-off imo.
