2007 V8 Vantage Coolant Flush

Hi guys,

I have been trying to find how to flush coolant on my 2007 V8V from you tube, this forum, and other forums but not very successful to find any detailed information yet.

Has anyone of you done it before? Could you please share your knowledge from the beginning to the end?

I am also planning to replace a thermostat.

Thank you very much in advance~!!

Best Regards,
Jung

From the workshop manual:

Coolant-Drain/Fill
1. Raise vehicle on ramp.
2. Remove front undertray (see Workshop Manual
procedure 01.02.NB Undertray - Front - Renew).
3. Position suitable container to collect coolant.
4. Remove pressure cap from coolant reservoir.
5. Remove drain plug from radiator, allow coolant to drain.
6. Installation
7. Clean radiator drain plug.
8. Install and tighten drain plug.
9. Remove drain container.
10. Install front undertray (see Workshop Manual procedure
01.02.NB Undertray - Front - Renew).
11. Lower vehicle on ramp.
12. Fill cooling system with specified coolant mix to
maximum level in coolant reservoir.
13. Install and tighten pressure cap.
14. Run engine until normal operating temperature is
reached.
15. Stop engine, allow to cool down.
16. Re-check coolant level, top-up as necessary.

I filled mine with an Airlift system, makes burbing unnecessary. I use Motul Inugel Optimal Ultra coolant. It's formulation matches the recommended Aston coolant.

Thank you for your advice.
I need to find where the drain plugs are first!!

As with most things, this is a subject that's been covered before.

coolant from dealer for the amv8 vantage 2006

i just changed mine, but the coolant that the dealer had was a blue bottle with orange cap, AC Delco long life coolant. this looks like the cheap stuff you by at pep boys... is this this ok??? they also charged me 40 bucks for it, as i think its probably 20 at the auto parts store, but i was in a hurry.
got it all drained but does it need a full gallon or a half gallon with distilled water mix? 50 50? whats the capacity again?? 8 quarts?

also, what came out was probably original , 15 year old coolant and it looked clean and clear.. it was kind of pink in color , although it could have been kind of orange in color too.

LuvBurninFuel will become famous soon enough
I used Motul Inugel, drained from radiator and did not get as much out as I would have liked. But the original was like new anyway.
