South Carolina Coast - Happy to teach detailing free if anyone wants help

I am in the South Carolina Myrtle Beach area for a month or so before i deploy. Thought since i am bored someone in the area might like some detail help and instruction if they like. Happy to just help (not charge) and can show all aspects for polishing, detailing, PPF, and coatings. Let me know if you would like some help, have seen 2x Vantages in the past week so thought i would post this.

I just picked up a new to me MBZ GLE 43 in metallic black... it needs minor paint correction from automatic car washes...

What do you recommend for a good middle of the road regime for care... I'm not looking for flawless finish but I've never had black...

My meteorite silver Vantage is the closest dark color I've had. the PO spent a few grand on correction and ceramic coating...

thanks for your service. best wishes on your deployment

Depends on if you want to use a polisher----only way to remove those scratches whether light or deep. I can help immensely if you would like to have direction to learn this process yourself. IF you ever run that vehicle through another car wash it will just scratch right back up immediately.

AMMONYC has the best videos out there for maintaining a vehicle and has the best products that are safe to use. While there are other companies that make stellar products that i also use, i do use the AMMO myself, even though its more expensive, because i know its safe to use. (ie... **** for carpet like items, Lather for cleaning all other interior bits). Soaps and other items i buy elsewhere due to quantity used vs money spent.

IF you would like to spend a bit (less than paying someone) to get your own polisher etc.... i will and can walk you through it easily. Proper products so you dont waste money and wonder if it could be better. ALSO highly recommend the ceramic coating due to daily driver on that Merc. Talks more let me know what you would like to do.

I have a Porter Cable DA polisher, and I've done some older light colored vehicles before... Nervous about dark colors... thoughts and guidance helpful... I've used Meguiars and chemical guys products... planning to use a SIO2 spray every few months...MBZ is for wife but she doesn't drive many miles under 6k annually since we have other vehicles to drive... if there's a good Ceramic that isn't too expensive and easy DIY, that may work...

PM me ... thanks!

The PC polisher honestly sucks, way to underpowered. It can in the right hands work great, but Rupes polishers are the best (Flex also). I started on a PC and returned it a week later for a Flex and never ever looked back. Rupes 15 is the best hands down.

Highly suggest 22ple coatings and as a second place Kamikazee Miyabi 2x coats and then ISM on top. Then ONLY use a Si02 spray on top for maintenance. I suggest Kamikazee Overcoat which is sprayed onto a drying towel and used when drying a towel. CarPro Reload is good for spraying whenever but I NEVER touch a car other than when washing. Too many scratches come of it. BigBoi drying blower is also the best and keeps towels off the car. I will post two pics of cars done 18 months ago and not touched since other than drying once per 3 months with the overcoat and a towel, and weekly washed and blown dry with the blower.

I will PM you though
