VelocityAP ECU Tune DB9 Installation Question

Hi All,

For those with the VelocityAP ECU tune on their DB9. When it says to turn the key on do they mean position 1 (only radio on, remote pushed in halfway), position 2 (remote pushed in all the way, climate control running, engine not running), or position 3 (engine running)?

Thanks!

Position II engine off. Turn all accessories off, A/C , headlamps, etc. Unplug phone chargers and radar detectors too. Advise to have a 10-20 amp charger on to keep battery above 12.8 volts.

Thanks! After I plugged it in, it wouldn't continue until it was in the right setting. Now I just need to wait for the updated tune file!

Please, let us know how you like the tune. It’s on my shortlist to do once I get some upcoming maintenance done.

I did the Velocity AP remap on my '11 DB9 6sp and I like it a lot. It's noticeably more responsive, and now my 235/275 Bridgestone Potenza tires are the weak link. I can break the tires in 2nd gear. I'm looking forward to upgrading to 245/285 Pilot Sport 4S. The exhaust is dirtier sounding too, which I like.

When I inquired to Velocity AP what they did, it was explained +25 hp, ignition timing, air fuel ratio, torque delivery, throttle scaling. Steven McEvoy from Aston1936 says he'll be doing a video on it soon, too, as he's been testing for gains from other common tweaks such as 2nd cat delete.
