There are 2 updated model of the part # for the Rapide (same for other cars of the same type): with ( 9G43-37-11094 ) or without ( 9G43-37-11093 ) inclination sensor. Up to you which one you want to install. but they are generally described as FoMoCo 6G9N-19G229.

They are generally the same. The Previous part # was 4G43-37-10246

If you do a lookup for your VIN, you will see whether you need the "High Spec Alarm" (inclination sensor) or not.

I used the non-inclination sensor equipped version. I don't think Scuderia shows a inclination equipped version for the Rapide.

That's because Scuderia doesn't have the parts description to all the models after a certain year, nor does it always have the 'updated' part #. Mine has the inclination model , listed as "High Spec Alarm" when I looked up the VIN.

But I can assure you there are indeed 2 types of sensors for the Rapide depending on the year.

Was your car originally fitted with an inclination-equipped sensor?
If yes, any problem after installation? Any dashboard lights?

Ive got an early year car (2006) with the inclination version. YWK500050
When I purchased the car, it had the service error, so I pulled the siren and replaced like for like with a model from Ebay.
Error was resolved as soon as I plugged it in.

About a month later now, and the error has re-emerged. The only things I could say are:
- I recently purchased a foxwell 809, connected to body port, and cleared everything that came up. The error only reemerged a couple days afterwards.
- I have been driving in wet conditions.

My understanding is that so long as the module is not damaged, the car will charge the backup battery in there?
I could theorize that moisture/condensation has damaged it...

Has anyone had this experience? it seems very shortlived of the module.

I am having the "alarm system service required" since I purchased the car, put a new alarm module in (with the proper spec) and still get the error.
Yesterday, as I was lifting the car to install my new exhaust, the alarm siren started, and I had to use the key to stop it.
When I looked at the dash, it showed me the "alarm ignited" message.
I am confused as to why I a getting the "alarm system service required" message BUT the siren will ring if I lift the car when it's locked...

The alarm module is High Spec. with inclination sensor, so attempt to jack or lift vehicle should sound the alarm. Was it armed when lifted?

You probably need codes read and cleared with AMDS as it sounds like it's working correctly to me.

Correct, the car was locked when I lifted it and the alarm sounded.

My Foxwell is indeed giving me the "alarm system" DTC when I run it, but I can't get it to clear..

I'm curious to know if the alarm module that you purchased on ebay, that you said was swapped like for like and solved the problem, was a used unit. All the used units are pretty old at this point and theres no way to know if they're actually in good shape internally. Plus most places won't accept a return on any electrical items. What I'm finding is that all the Rover parts suppliers that show that they have this part available, actually don't have it in stock. When you speak with a Rover parts supplier or dealership, YWK500050 was superceded to YWK500070. These parts are discontinued and no longer available at all. I spoke to many Rover parts departments with little to no help at all so I've been calling the service departments to see what they've been doing to get around this problem on customers cars. The guys I talked to said that they haven't had any recent issues so they don't have a solution.

I did find a YWK500050 - only lasted a couple months. Given the case, im thinking i may try the 'cut it open and solder a new battery' method given i know the unit is generally good.
