Parts to change transaxle oil on V8V
That's certainly one way to look at it. However, the important thing is to understand what you're using and how appropriate it is for the application. The Redline option is the appropriate weight and composition. Perhaps it was a placebo effect, but the shifting of my 11.3k mile SS1-equipped V8V noticeably improved after the change. The car had been serviced at Miller prior to my ownership (i.e., a dealer), so I assume it was using BOT270A before the change.
so, at my dealer today (Aston Martin Orlando) and asked the service manager about the different transaxle fluids... they use Mobile 1... he said they match viscosity and GL-4 standards per Aston Martin specs...
go figure...!

Mobil 1 Syn Gear Lube LS 75W-90 is not a GL-4 no matter what the dealer claims. Mobil says it is a GL-5.
Try Amsoil's Manual Transmission & Transaxle Gear Lube 75W/90, $20 per quart. I've used it for 8 years in my manual 2009 V8V, it needs 4 or 5 minutes of warm-up to come to temperature. It may be to thick to use in a Sportshift
