What Happened to my Post on DB-9 Struts?

Has it disappeared? Do they get retired? Anyone?

Just click on your profile and you can see all the threads you started. Don't worry it has happened to be before too.

The mods will automatically move any thread that mentions anything "for sale/looking to buy" to the classified section.

I wouldn't have any issue with this if Aston posts didn't get absolutely buried under thousands of items for Porsches.

But hey, it's not my website. Who am I to complain, besides a valuable user bringing them money every time an ad loads up while I'm reading a thread.

It would be nice if they separated the classifieds the way they do the discussion fora.

That’s not a bad idea and the marketplace would probably have been done that way to begin with if we had any control over the classifieds format. IB tells me it’s a packaged software and we have no control! BS? Maybe! Or perhaps just to shut me up.

I also had a post disappear. I had a post discussing a 2006 6spd db9 for sale that had accident history and that post was removed saying you're not allowed links. Some of these rules are stupid.

perhaps, but this site is free for you because we have sponsors who pay the freight and they don’t appreciate active links to non sponsor sites or classifieds. There is absolutely nothing wrong with you creating a discussion about an accident history car that might be interesting to members. Please take a little longer to completely describe the situation rather that just posting re-direct links. You can also deactivate a link by unchecking the “automatically parse links in text” box before you submit a post.

Good to know. But does this mean you could have just done that instead of deleting the post altogether?

Not in that case. I deactivate links all the time without removing posts if they are not promoting otherwise. I don’t like having to remove anything.
