How do I add an Aux input or bluetooth to the 07 V8V?

I have researched this a lot but cannot find good info.

Some say the car has an Aux input in the glove box. Mine does not.

Are there multiple audio systems available on the V8V or is there only one?
I am confused if all of them are fiber optic or only some are.

What's the best way to do this? Very frustrating. I've had the car for over a year and would like to be able to listen to something other than the radio.
FM transmitters are not an acceptable solution. I want a hardwired connection or bluetooth.

I had the same preference with my recently purchased 2002 DB7, which was equipped with the original Becker unit. My options came down to installing a BT adapter, which had a poor reputation for success, or replacing the unit with a digital media player. In the end, I opted to replace, as I wanted hands-free phone and the ability to stream nav, Sirius/XM and Spotify through the unit. After much consultation with the shop, I went with the Sony DSX-M55BT player. A key attraction was the built-in microphone, which meant a separate mic did not need to be rigged through the A-pillar or the dash. So far the player has worked great, synced with the power antenna and provides good streaming reliability and phone connection. I did not have them connect the CD changer--no plans to use it. While not maintaining the "look" of the '90s Becker, but I use the DB7 regularly, and absolutely want the convenience of BT and phone.

Fit in the slot with no trim or adjustment to the veneer.

Unit was not very expensive, and had all the features I wanted.

That looks like a very clean install, but I believe unfortunately using an aftermarket head unit is not acceptable in the V8V as it would require significant and costly modification to the center console and probably significantly devalue the car. If anybody has successfully installed an aftermarket unit in the V8V, I would love to know it!

Right now, I'm looking for a solution to tap into the stock sound system.

I used the Dension Gateway 500 but I think there are newer versions out now. It added Bluetooth music streaming, hard drive input, and aux.

Many threads here on how to DIY. Pretty simple.

Redpants also offers the Aston installations modules too with rear cameras and Apple CarPlay.

I looked into the Carplay solution and while that would be nice, I can't justify that cost for a solution that involves using the ancient low-resolution pop-up screen. It would be awesome to be able to replace the center screen with something modern.

This looks like what I need: Gateway 500 (dension.com)

But the question I have been unable to answer is whether my car has the "MOST" system. I have read somewhere that some 07 Vantages have this and some don't. Something about premium audio vs. regular audio package. I can find zero information in my manual about what my car is equipped with.
Can anybody confirm if there were any audio options on the 07 or if they all infact used the MOST system and this module would therefore work for all MY 07 V8Vs?

Here it is. This is what I saw a while ago:

Audio Interface - MOST-AUX for Aston - NAV-TV (navtv.com)

It says "MOST equipped system"

How do I know if I have a MOST system or not and if this will work?

They are all MOST fiber optic equipped. Base or premium dosen't matter, only for power amplifiers and drivers. Get a denison.

I used karlfranz's installation guide on this stickied thread:

Good luck!

essentially everything coming out of the phone jack in your phone, voice, music, dings, bells, whistles, the sound from youtube videos, everything is passed into the head unit of the stereo system via mr12volt (when paired to your phone). and it all will demonstrate equal fidelity (BTW mr12volt comes with a mic too). mr12volt is plugged into the CD player's output and into the head unit's input. the head unit thinks it's getting the sound from the CD player's disc 1, but it's not. when paired to your phone the head unit gets nothing from the CD player's disc 1 and everything from your cell phone output via bluetooth and mr12volt. i would imagine the other manufacturer's units do something similar if not identical.

I have an 07V8V with Premium Audio....I went with the Mr12Volt for an audio input. I don’t use it for Bluetooth , but rather a bridge between my Android Auto (iCartizan) and the MOST system. Works really well and is inexpensive vs Dension. The scariest part is removing the central waterfall/ski slope fascia...but once you’ve done it carefully, the rest is really straightforward.

That's a good one! Is there a switch to go between the CD changer and Mr12V? Does the screen just display as it's playing a CD?

If you don't care to control an iPod and would rather use bluetooth, this certainly looks like a less expensive but completely viable option. The Dension requires an additional iPod to bluetooth adapter to do the same and is much more expensive.

I have a mr12volt system in my car. Install wasn't bad, but it can be a little flaky, and doesn't always switch back. I put it under the dash so it's easy to cycle if it doesn't take over for the CD changer, as a reset seems to always fix it. Other than the sporadic temper tantrums that require a reset, it's very good when working and shows the song playing (YouTube Music in my case) on the CD "title" screen. It plays off of USB fine as well, I added a USB port next to the cigarette lighter for a thumb drive or phone charging.

This is in an '07 V8V with premium audio, FWIW.
