How do I add an Aux input or bluetooth to the 07 V8V?
I went with GROM audio to add bluetooth / aux in to my 2007 V8V with premium audio. It sounds very similar to the description of Mr12Volt in that it takes the place of the CD player in the system. It's been a few years now and I've had no issues with connection or quality. Almost positive I found a write-up in the forums for the install. I believe you'll want the Volvo XC90 Single CD 2007-2013 model if you are so inclined.

For a 2002 DB7 Vantage is the Sony DSX about as good as you need?
Car isn't a daily driver/ used on days off work occasional use. Was thinking about a BT module to connect to the existing Becker CD changer in the boot but some posts suggest the consistency isn't that good?
Required use would be iPhone integration to play music through the phone, maybe use the phone's sat nav, use the phone hands free without having to wire in additional speakers around the A-pillar; and listen to the radio.
I don't think the OP's Sony DSX unit has DAB and have found this one which does:
Sony DAB radio Bluetooth media receiver DSX-A510D £129 GBP
https://www.sony.co.uk/electronics/i...ers/dsx-a510bd
Any thoughts on the quality of these units and if they're a straight swap by removing the Becker head unit, then plug and play the new unit (I would preserve the Becker unit for future originality purposes and wouldn't have the CD changer connected, unless it's easily done - because I would probably not use CDs if having access to smartphone music)?
Thanks.

the sound is played on your car stereo speakers, so it will sound as good as your speakers. my car has the Premium sound system option.

That's a good one! Is there a switch to go between the CD changer and Mr12V? Does the screen just display as it's playing a CD?
If you don't care to control an iPod and would rather use bluetooth, this certainly looks like a less expensive but completely viable option. The Dension requires an additional iPod to bluetooth adapter to do the same and is much more expensive.

the screen on the head unit will scroll a bit of info about the track that's playing and something different when using your phone. can't say really, because i don't use my phone much while in the car. the power supply for mr12volt needs to be UNSWITCHED. meaning the that it will receive power even when the ignition's turned off. otherwise, you'll have to pair it with your phone on occasion.
the phone needs to have bluetooth turned and i set all the the bluetooth pairing toggles to the ON position.

The Mr12volt carplay version doesn't see to support Volvo/AM. Has anyone tried NAVtool? https://www.navtool.com/aston-martin...e-carplay.aspx
mr12volt is the best solution at the moment. Here are the details of my install:
