I don't understand the harness part of the guide; how does that work? Are plastic connectors of some kind (which?) required to be purchased?

Who was the original author of the guide? would love to get in touch with them

Thanks! I have 2 questions really:

1) I'm really struggling to follow the English translation for all of the wiring i.e. what is plugged/unplugged where and why. When wires are spliced I don't follow exactly which ones i.e. which side of the opened harness this should be. I don't understand what wire harness is 'made'.
2) Does the setup outlined in the guide maintain use of the stock Garmin NAV if required via a switch? (e.g. to change the time on the analogue clock on a DB9, you do this through the Garmin interface). I see there is a switch in the ashtray but I don't see where in the guide it's wired up or added on, unless the kit comes with it?

I don't really understand anything from 'Installation Carplay et caméra de recul V8 Vantage GPS Garmin' onwards sufficiently to be confident

I'm totally comfortable with what needs to be disassembled to get to everything (I have a MY14 DB9 where the Garmin GVN54 is under the rear passenger seat so slightly different position wise). I'm also totally comfortable doing work like this if I understand what i'm doing. This is a project i'm very keen to do

Are you able to help? The French might be easier to follow but i don't speak French

I'm sorry to say that machine translation isn't always the best.In the Cartizan kit, there is no main harness, you have to build it based on the diagram in the Cartizan manual.There is a switch in the ashtray which cuts the power supply to the Cartizan and therefore the system finds the Garmin.The front camera works as a video input.

I've ordered the CP3-11 (newer version of CP2-11 used in the existing guide) so am serious about doing this

1) Would you be able to explain the section 'Installation Carplay et caméra de recul V8 Vantage GPS Garmin' because I don't understand it at all? I don't follow what is happening with the wires 5 and 12 / what harness needs to be made. Sadly there's only one photo and I can't understand the translation well enough/

2) What is the 'female pods' required?

3) How long should the harness be? Are we talking 15cm or 2 metres

4) Does the guide cover the power switch? I don't see this part

Disclaimer, I haven't installed this unit and just providing help with the translation.

2) Female pods refer to: "sicma female terminals". You will need them to plug the new wire in the existing harness connector. There seem to be multiple sizes, not sure which one is the correct one for the car.

The bundle is 10 cm long. You need both male and female connectors to make it. Numbers 5 and 8 are the 2 positions of the car's video input wires. Next to the photo, there's a plan with the wire numbers so you can see where they are. Male at the top as seen from the terminals and female at the bottom as seen from the wires.My tutorial doesn't include the general power switch, just connect it to the CP11's general power supply.

Thank you so much! this is extremely helpful and makes a lot of sense. Think i'm nearly there

1) Do you know the spec/part code for the 1x male and 1x female connector I need to use to make the wiring harness?

2) my car has a reversing camera as standard equipment. Does that change any of the wiring / harness?

3) Did you mean 5 and 8? In the guide, 8 looks blank on both sides of harness, assuming:

White = empty slot
Grey = wire
Yellow = video signal of harness
Red = F66 (Accessory, ignition switched power, infotainment)

So far i've ordered the CP3-11 (slightly newer version of the CP2-11 / looks essentially the same), plus some mini 'add-a-fuse' for the front fuse box.
