2006 V8V key fob successfully programmed.
You just put it in the ignition and the car pairs the key automatically.
Long time lurker, first time posting. My ‘06 Vantage only came with one key and my local Aston dealership wants $1,500 for a new key and fob. I think that’s ridiculous so I bought a new key from Phoenix, a new key fob and a SpinState key fob case from Redpants. I followed the procedure to program the new key fob to a T and kept getting a communication error with the ECU. Finally stumbled across a post over on Aston Martin Life where one member said they could not get the app to work in iOS so they bought a cheap android tablet and got it to work. I just wanted to share what everyone that in 2025 and going into 2026, that’s what I had to do as well. The iOS app for ThinkDiag just could not do the job but I had the fob programmed in three minutes once I switched to using an Android tablet.
