Constant, switched and ground

Hello, I've been scouring the net as well as this site . . . I have a 2019 (new to me) Vantage and looking to install a dashcam (Blackvue DR900X-2CH), as the title suggests, I need to find a constant 12V, switched 12V and ground (ground is easy, but if all three can be found in the same place, that would be preferred). I have run the wires down the driver's A-pillar and have tucked it close to the OBD connector. Any ideas on where that I can safely tap into for those three uses? I poked around the rear view mirror, but I really don't want to break anything . . . Thanks for the help! KH

61mga is infamous around these parts
i would probably try to use a "fuse tap" on an appropriate switched fuse in the nearest fuse box. the box itself may serve as a ground too. i'd test for candidates with a multimeter; for 0v with ignition off and 12v when on. then i think, the circuitry protected with its own fuse.

notice the enormous amount of equivocation in this post.

HaHa, I appreciate it

Not a lot of activity on this site, I may just end up going to Fuse Box B (I can't even find it), but I thought I would check to see if others have gone down this path before. I did find this easy connection under the driver's dash (plugs into some Mercedes module), it is constant and ground, need to find the not-so-obvious switched power-- Thanks! KH

This is easily done at the fuse panel with one of these "Add a Circuit" adapters - no cutting/splicing required:
Amazon Amazon

In the DB9, the panel is under the passenger firewall. I found both constant and switched power for my additions at the panel.

Thank you, clever add
I am going to have to spend some extra time, I somehow cannot even FIND the damn fuse box, first time this has ever been an issue. I must be blind-- HA, KH

Amazingly, I still had a rough time finding a reasonably accessible grouping of wires that I could tap into. I do want to report back on the route I ended up taking.

I tried using a volt meter to make my own version of this: https://smile.amazon.com/dp/B08KTTCK...roduct_details
This also resulted in little success. I found constant easily, the switched power continued to be illusive to me, I chalk this up to user error. I originally just could not justify $45 for such a simple requirement, but ended up taking this route to power my Blackvue dashcam, easily and successfully. I'm realizing I should have just done this from the beginning, HaHa I hope this helps others, I just bought this module, hacked off the Thinkware connector and tied the yellow (constant), red (switched) and black (ground) to Blackvue's leads. Cheers!
