New garage and toys.

I've been a bit quiet here lately.. Just life.

I recently built a new garage (wife insisted it better have a house connected to it.

I had been researching a new lift for my garage as my old 4 post lift went with the old house. I settled on a single post lift that are becoming popular with guys like us.

It's a "Stratus" with a 6600lbs capacity. Rolls around the shop pretty easily with no help and has very low ground clearance. I'm choosing to roll the car up on a set of 3" ramps so I have plenty of room to adjust the arms and position my lift blocks under the appropriate jacking location. You'll see in the photos that I'm using some tall jack stands. This is for piece of mind and to help steady the car as it does "bounce" a little bit when it lifts off the locking points. Just a bit and nothing too scary.

I did an oil change and replaced one of my headlight bulbs which quickly turned into new air filters and a thorough cleaning of the suspension and the plastic inner fender wells, etc.

I roll it on these 3inch ramps just to make it a bit easier to position the jack pads. Not technically "needed" because it only needs 4 inches of ground clearance.

Just wanted to pass this review along. It's a great piece for a very reasonable ask.

Nice lift! I picked up a MAXJack but that looks like a great way to go as well. I like the jackstands as a"just in case"..

didn't know such things existed! think i'd want some sort of wooden, flat, false floor over those support plates on the floor direcly under the car, so i wouldn't be constantly stumbling over them.

I love it!!! That's amazing! I have a bit of a parking problem at the moment at my house but just found out I *may* be able to add a parking lift to one of my (very tight in all 3 dimensions, hence the *may* part) garage bays which would be awesome. But it's nothing compared to your setup!

I love the amount of depth to your garage, it really adds a LOT of space; it looks like you can move around in it very very easily. The lift is also pretty neat, I hadn't seen one that was a rolling version, I had only seen the bolt down ones. I do agree it looks a little scary though, I'd definitely have a couple of stands like you do when it's up. Looks like you can really access a lot underneath the car, but....yea....
