Added second Midnight Blue with Sahara Tan interior Vantage
I found nice used low mile Vantage and added a second one to my fleet. These models are not easy to find in same colors as the car I have. It's a V12 which I would normally not have, but my carbon fiber Valiant Ecosse V12 RS bonnet is being shipped next week, so in about a month the full scale V8 Vantage will look much like the smaller scale.
As a side note, just had my VelocityAP CAT delete installed - much better sound! We are on an Aston Martin group drive tomorrow 4:00 (Sunday the 26th) here in Minneapolis so if you are in the area PM me for details.
It's an AutoArt from E-Bay. I had a silver one that matched the exterior of a 2007 Vantage I had, but the interior on that car was black, and mine was special order two tone tans (not a good idea) with wood panel and door caps (Aston Works special order). Not an exact match to my present car, as the V12 RS hood being shipped from Germany is not the same as the V12 hoods but as close as I'd get. Pretty close detail though.
I'll have a full report on the valiant-ecosse experience after the bonnet is installed. Using Vescio's Customizing (Minnesota) for the paint and install. So far I have some pictures. Working on the shipping now.
I'm matching the body color as did the first Vantage V12 RS prototype bonnet this is based upon (same unit essentially), however, likely to leave the underside clearcoated carbon fiber. They shipped out the unit today, but I need to get on Vescio's Customizing schedule - so hopefully still this month. The original V12 RS Bonnet from the factory prototype.
I'm not sure - between the offset 20" front wheels, the 21" rear wheels, the AMR grill with inset lights, I fear if I go any further with mods it gets silly. There will be an older Vanquish for sale soon that was lowered with a wide body mod here in Minneapolis that's actually pretty nice looking far more aggressive changes than I've seen on an Aston. I still want to retain the elegance tho.
