mystery wire

On my recently acquired 2010 vantage roadster i was looking around under the hood and found a very thin 2 conductor wire that resembles a speaker wire . It seems to originate from one round marker light on each fender and meets on the passenger side and runs down in front of the radiator then ties into a wiring harness. I noticed the other day when i was checking my turn signals that those round side lights blink with each signal , is that the normal operation or did someone modify that with this small wire ? If not any ideas what that wire could be for ?Could there have been an issue with the original wiring to those lights and someone ran the wire to get them working again ? thanks for the inputSaveShare

My side lights don't blink...but I'm open to the idea that maybe they do in some markets?

Side repeaters are supposed to flash. Perhaps it's the signals in the headlamps as they tend to have issues.

I have a 2007, I'll double check this afternoon to see if they blink when the signals are on. I don't believe they do. I freely admit I may be mistaken...it is a US spec car.
