Slam Panel Plaque

Hey guys,

Just ordered a new Carbon Slam Panel for the V8V.

Does anyone know where to buy 1) OEM plaque and 2) Does anyone know where to source a blank plaque so that I can have a customized plaque?

Thanks

A good laser engraving shop should be able to recreate any design you want

Yep, I identified a trophy shop around here and have a vector file of the logo. Do you know where to get a blank plaque?

TIA

I believe the script on them is painted/printed on? Can't you remove script from a stock one and have your logo printed on?

Laser etched, emery cloth with a red Scotch Brite finish may work.

You can order a new slam label plaque with whatever etched on it that you want from redpants.lol.

The original plaque is easy to remove and install on your new slam panel. Just cut the OEM tape holding the plaque in place with with fishing line. Use new two sided high temperature tape to apply to the new panel

Thanks guys for the ideas. I know some had mentioned taking off the original plaque, but I wanted that to stay with the OEM slam panel. When I set out to mod this car, it was all plug and play so that if I decided, I could return to full stock. Also Im so happy with the way it turned out that I may get the OEM one redone.

I found a piece of Aluminum and cut it to spec.

I measured the original plaque with calipers to ensure I got the size right and the corners.

Sent the plaque off to a local engraver who laser etched it onto the Aluminum.

Here is the finished product. I wanted it custom so I just added the "for my name" part but kept everything else the same.

Thanks! Wasnt too costly either compared to buying a badge from Aston Martin Bits. Just need to vector file for the logo.

Naive question: How did you cleanly cut the aluminum to the correct size? (unsure if this is a DIY type of thing)
