I’m not confident as to what it is. Doesn’t go away if I turn off AC. It tends to go away after driving a while, particularly when letting the car get higher in the rev range. My main suspicion is the belts (idler belt?) are original and noisy, but I would like the collective ears of this community to let me know if this is something else entirely.

I believe this is the fuelpump. Mine has been making that noise for the last 8 years without causing any issue
My 2007 has been making that sound for the last 4 years or so. My mechanic suspected the oil pump, but the sound is too 'dry' IMO and comes from the back of the engine rather than the front. I've always suspected the front propshaft bearing was going and making that noise. It's on my list to check out one of these days.
Is it the same high pitch you are referrring to in my video around the 1.06 minute mark? https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=z2COg5_T91I

Does anybody with this noise checked their propshaft bearings? I have same noise at 06 db9 and I’m suspecting also propshaft bearings, but it is quite a work to just check.

Did anyone manage to resolve?
