Looking to buy a 4.3 6 speed Vantage. I went too see an 07 today at a dealer. Interior was in very nice condition. One thing that needed replacing was the upper dash trim piece which is piano black.
What I found odd is it had the hole for the navigation trim piece cut out but was missing the actual navigation unit. Did the non navigation Vantage have a cut out as well. I was under the impression they were flat with out navigation option. The dealer stated they all came with the same panel. The navigation is practically useless today so don't mind replacing with a new piece with no cut out
Navigation is only with that panel, non Navigation cars have solid 1pc panel. Have the VIN checked for options. One would think if it was removed tobuy the correct panel to cover it up. Recommend to replace with the metal version 1pc. Piano black will eventually crack.

Figured, how do I check the VIN for options. Coming from the porsche 997 world it was easy. Also, who makes the one piece metal version you mentioned?

i don't envy you in finding a new one, inasmuch as year of manufacture, transmission type, navigation or lack thereof, and model will play a part in fitment. good luck
it wouldn't surprise me if painting the thing and taking pleasure in the fact that the missing and obsolete nav unit can't raise it's ugly ever again is a workable solution. i say that because even IF a solid metallic one is available for purchase that it would look at all appropriate with that interior.

I'd bet that car originally had nav. Cars without nav didn't have the little joystick to the right of the clock but a blank instead. That control has zero purpose outside of controlling the navigation system. I really doubt a non-nav car would have both the center stack and ski slope replaced with nav enabled components.
I will go on the premise that the car had navigation. The dealer can discount some more of the price. The interior is probably a 9 of 10. No dash warping and leather on the driver's seat is almost perfect.
I just sold my 07 997TT so they also had interior issues, this car is in better shape than my porsche that I sold. I prefer to buy a car local. I took it for a short drive on Saturday and plan to go back Wednesday. Car drove really nice and tight.
Looks like it had some slight body work on one panel and needs some other small items. The car has 33k on the odometer. These cars are getting very hard to find and prices are definitely up from a few years ago. I also looking at a 2020 they had there. I just gravitate to the old model. I think it's the perfect size and has enough power to have fun on the street. Coming out of the 997TT u can rarely use all the power.
Not sure if this is allowed here; my apologies if it’s not.
If you’re looking for a Vantage of this vintage, mine is currently for sale.
It’s about as nice of one as you’ll likely find.

If you have not conducted a Google search of this used car dealership, you should do so before committing the purchase this car. I knew that name sounded familiar.
Thanks for the heads up. I did some due diligence on the car with the shop that serviced the car a few months ago. They stated it had a few minor issues but overall car was in good shape. They have zero interest on the sale so it was good to speak to the shop owner before it came to Florida.
Yep, these cars are few and far between, so finding one is not easy. I have read a few things about the dealer. I will tread lightly.

nice. I'm in Sanford. Saw your BAT... Good luck. What did superior charge you for detail? I'm looking for inside detail.
Howdy, neighbor!
This last detail was $750, but I’m pretty sure this was a special deal.
Karim and Kim at Superior Detailer are absolute gems.
Don’t hesitate to call them; tell them Jim S. in Daytona sent you.
Thanks for the good thoughts. My experience with BAT has been disappointing thus far.
I really, truly hope someone who will take care of my car gets it.
