Dimmer is turned all the way up. Only the dashes illuminate. The fuel and temp also Only the dashes. No numbers no temp or fuel symbol illuminate. The dash for Full and Empty illuminate and the dash for Hot Cold illuminate. As well as the dashes for each mph 10 20 30 etc. but not the actual numbers. The needles also illuminate

It's only supposed to be the dashes and needles that are back-lit on these cars. However there are 2 small sets of LEDs that should illuminate the front face of the dash from above.

I find that I use the digital speedometer and only need the relative positions for RPM, fuel and water temp.

I believe it's a fashion over form decision from Aston.

My 2007 V8 Vantage is the same. Unfortunately I have a warning message on the dash so I cannot get the digital speed either. I just have the dashes around the gauge at night and need to guess my speed.

The image below is not representative of what the human eye sees, there is a lot more illumination on the numbers. To the eye the numbers are invisible.

On 2009 and up cars: Press the "Read" button on the waterfall panel (on the right side of the audio display) to make the error message go away and show your speed again.

On 2006-2008 cars it's here:
