However, when scanning at the register, they will come up for $13.68 !!!
I raided my local stores and they confirmed they have plenty at the warehouse to order in.. some locations didn't even know they carried that brand either (argued with a rep at one location they had that brand).
Also, they carry 5w-40 for the the even more insane price for $7.38 / 5Qt !

Reason: Link
Looks like you got quite a deal, but I just spent an hour (Florida market place) and eventually been in communication with Advance Auto corporate.
No Joy!
I even made a copy of your posted receipt and texted to them. The only reply I received was - "Maybe a promo instore as I am not seeing anything for this product."
Plenty of people in Florida (and across the US) seeing the same thing I am...
If you use their website and check that they have stock (try ordering like qty 10, it may tell you only 5 are available at that location, the location @ 5802 Derek AveSarasota , near you has a few in stock), then go in person to get it scanned at the register. They can also check on their terminal how many they have at the regional warehouse and order them in for you.

OK thanks. I'll have to try a store. Closest is 40 miles.

Very funny story walking into a store, asking if they carry Total Quartz (first store didn't). He said yes, I carry it. How many do you want? I said "All of them". He said - They're $60 a container. I said could you check the price at the register?
Watching the expression on his face when he rung it up was priceless! I said - So, how many more do you have? Turns out I scored the ONLY 5L container in the store....but I spent $40 in gas in the DB11 getting to these stores...hahaaaa...
Nice, but too bad they only had one... Their online stock # is usually accurate when you use the website or the phone app. You can also ask 'em to bring some in from their distribution center, their internal part # (seen on the receipt) is "226004", they can check inventory at the warehouse and get them delivered same/next-day to their location so you don't waste a trip! You might be able to call the # on the receipt and get more
At one of the store I went to, the (younger) counter guy insisted they never carried Total, didn't think it was a real brand, and tried to convince me I really meant "Castrol" (don't know why, doesn't even sound the same)... until the old timer in the back yelled "The TOTAL oil is right here doofus".
Anyone going for some.. I've only seen the jugs behind the counter and not on the shelf display where the big brands are... so you either have to spot the jug behind the register or ask for it directly. If it's your first time going to AAP, register for their "Perks" program with the App, and give your phone # when you buy. New members get $5 off on $20 purchase via a barcode scan coupon... so you can get even cheaper oil!

So, I called another store (30 miles in the other direction) asked if they had Total Quartz. He said - We're all sold out I only have one 5L container left. I asked what weight. He said 0w-20. I asked if he could hold it for me....yes. Just got back scoring the second, LAST 5L bottle. Now I'm only about 1L away from a complete oil change.
This is actually getting to be fun. Tomorrow going to see where the next AA is located...gives me an excuse to drive the DB11.
