Hey, I have a 2013 V8 Vantage with the SSII. Today I was in reverse, backed up, then hit first. All was fine.
Then I gave it some gas and heard a big *** THUD and couldnt move. Gave it some gas again and another THUD and couldnt move.
Finally I gave it gas a third time and was able to move and didnt have any more trouble on the way home.... I was in first a handful of times and reverse again once.
Has anyone experienced this before? Is this what clutch slip is like or something else? I have 23k miles on the original clutch if that matters. Thanks for any info in advance.

Replying here in case others are searching for a similar issue...
So the answer to this problem was super interesting and I learned a lot. I bought this car recently so I don't know what all had been done to it besides what the CarFax said.
Ever since I bought this car the shifting wasn't quite right either. No matter how I drove it (lifting off the petal, getting to higher rpms, etc) it kinda just shifted like ****. But a lot of people on the forums complain about the sport shift so I assumed it was just how things are.
Well, the tech called me today...
It turns out the previous owner did a twin plate clutch installation which is exciting to learn, but also surprising because it wasn't known about by my dealer (thank god, would have raised the price). But this immediately confused me because like I said, the car shifts like a tired dog and the twin plate is supposed to fix that.
Apparently while the car was sitting waiting to be sold the battery had died which caused the car to "unlearn" the changes necessary to work correctly with the twin plate. The service center I went to is luckily in the VelocityAP dealer network so they connected the puzzle pieces pretty quick.
After the relearn everything is shifting as it should and I learned I have a twin plate clutch! It's a pretty good day.

Referencing Stuart@VelocityAP in another thread, this is the procedure: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...-martin-7.html
Misfire Correction Factor Procedure - on an earlier car, pre-2011 simply disconnecting the battery will wipe the misfire correction factors. On a later MY it requires an AMDS to complete this. Once they are erased, you subsequently follow the coast-down procedure (in short, repeated coast down from 70-30MPH in top gear, no throttler or brake application, no more than 4% steering angle and vehicle fully up to temp.) This usually needs to be done 6-8 times on a car with a lightened flywheel.
