Direct Battery Feed

Hello all,

My battery is dead and hence I can't unlock my car...
Of course, I don't have the metallic key yet, so I am looking at other options.
It seems there is a direct battery feed located under the car:

Anybody knows where to find it?
Is it possible to send 12V there and have power to unlock the car?
Any help appreciated.
Thank you!

Hi @EJ_Rapide

There was a thread somewhere recently that someone commented about this on their DB9, (if my memory serves me correctly). I commented on it that, coincidentally, when doing some work on my DB11, I had the Right Front wheel well liner out and I found the same battery + terminal behind it. And the DB9 was in approximately the same location.

Wheel well liner was a simple removal.

A +12v from a power source at this terminal with a chassis ground should do the trick to power the door locks

Hope this helps.

bjmsnlaw is infamous around these parts
For Rapide, look through the front grille towards the radiator with a torch and you will see the hood release cable outer sheath. If you pull the outer sheath it will put enough tension on the cable to release the hood catch. With the hood open you can charge the battery. Negative clip on the alternator casing and positive clip on the central charging stud.

If this doesn't work for you, maybe this will help: https://www.6speedonline.com/forums/...orkaround.html

Remember to get a new battery! You didn't say how old your present battery is but weak /old batteries cause a lot of headaches for Aston owners.

Got it!
Found the hood release cable and could pop it open.
It's now charging, until there is enough power to unlock the car...
Thanks again for the help

Finally could get in the car tonight... The doors modules went dead so the windows wouldn't slide open to let me open the doors... I had to have my kid sneak in from the trunk, and he could somehow open the driver's door.
First thing on my to-do-list is get that metallic key!
