Hello everyone, I want to install CarPlay in my 2010 Aston DBS with the Volvo system. I was thinking about buying the Aston system installations but unfortunately I find it much too expensive and I do not want to spend 4000 € (pieces + manpower) to install CarPlay in my car. If some of you have installed other systems, I would like your feedback to know the brand and if you are satisfied ? I am looking for an easy to install Plug and Play system without need to modify the oem harness with wires cutting or other things and with the ability to add a front and rear camera and of course without any danger for my DBS electric system. Thank you

I've recently installed the NAVIKS system on my '23 Vantage. It's been issue free so far. Everything works on the OEM system etc.

 

+1 for the Naviks.
I use it for the backup camera and Iphone mirroring, no issue at all (besides the small button you have to use to toggle between the screens...).

 

I installed the Naviks in the Rapide and very happy with it. It is flawless. Always connects wirelessly which I cannot say for the other systems I have installed in my other cars.

 

On your 2010 DBS, do you also have a reverse cam? If not, I'm having a Seicame electronic mirror with Apple CarPlay installed this Monday on my 2011 V8 Vantage. I just got it delivered and bench tested the mirror. I'd say the quality of the mirror image at 4K is as good if not better than the one I had in my C8 Corvette. It took less than a minute to set up the Apple CarPlay and it's quite responsive. The reverse cam has a 170 degree sweep, and I opted for the interior cam and extra memory option. On Tuesday I hope to do a video review I'll post here assuming weather holds in Minneapolis and I can get it in the shop for the install Monday. Fully optioned out and including delivery my hardware investment is $168!

 

no i haven't reverse cam on it, i don't wan't to install electronic carplay mirror because i would like to keep the oem look of my car with integrate system. but thanks for your feedback

 

I want to add front camera & android auto on my 13 Vantage. Since my car has factory backup camera, I'm hoping to connect that to naviks unit & only add front camera. Anyone with naviks, is that possible?

 

Does NAVIKS use AUX port ?

 

I for one can't wait to hear Prefurbia's report re: his clip-on mirror install, etc. Looking at that product (Seicame), it seems (at a distance, admittedly) that it is thin enough to be discreetly mounted over top of the OEM mirror and powered up with a minimum of fuss/expense. The labor charge for me could be 350 or so I am guessing-

 

You can indeed use the port directly on the Naviks and run a cable to your AUX port, or you can use a "Bovee" device in parallel to the Naviks.

 

Anyone installed this one? I contacted them, they only sell this product through aston dealers.

that's all I want, my car is 2013 so it has oem rear view camera, I just want to add front bumper camera. Do you have this unit?

seems like this is made for the Garmin based nav not the Volvo. Check out the years on the specs. 2012+ is about when the change took place.
