I’ve been off the form for a while, but I thought I’d come back and post a little bit of an update. On a recent trip up to Monterey California this last October, a rock hit the low center section of my windshield. I called my local Aston Martin dealer to Home (GALPIN Aston Martin)).
The quote was $8200 for a new windshield, and they said I needed to pay for it before ordering the windshield. I forwarded the estimate to (Hagerty insurance) who then sent me the $8200 and thus I paid for the windshield and it was ordered the same day. The time for delivery of the windshield was supposed to be one month . We’re still waiting for the windshield and there has been no update as to if it was shipped in the latter part of November as promised. The dealers had no response from Aston Martin for the past week as to the ETA of the windshield . The labor for the installation of the windshield will be paid for once the windshield is installed. Has anyone had to replace the windshield in ia Vntage before?

Wow that sucks big time. I hate to drive mine anymore with LA traffic. Since these aren't made anymore, parts eventually be difficult to get I imagine.
Ron - I had the cracked windshield in my 2015 Vanquish replaced by Galpin about 3 years ago for about $6K. Fortunately the OEM replacement windshield was in stock on the East Coast so the whole process only took a few days. Galpin subcontracted the installation labor to a local windshield specialist who did a very professional job (no scratches in the glass or bodywork, no smeared sealant, all antennas connected properly). Good luck neighbor.
I've had a '17 VantageS windshield on order for a couple months now. Was supposed to be a month, currently say it will arrive end of December. I'll believe it when I see it. We could use the same windshield for all I know.
I had the windscreen on my Virage changed around a year ago after getting a similar stone chip. The screens are apparently made to order so it took a couple of months to arrive.
Two weeks after getting it fitted I got an almost identical stone chip! I went back to the glass specialist expecting to have to arrange another replacement and they tried injecting resin into it. That seems to have worked as I can't see where the repair was done now. They did say that the quicker you repair it the better the outcome.
I paid $5K or so for the windshield in my DB9. I have had about 10 windshields done at the same shop so I trust him and like him...
He said Ferrari windshields are $10K and he takes out a $250 insurance policy on the install, which he does himself. And then he told me "If you want to play, you have to pay. It's a great car, quit complaining!"

Thanks for your replies. I have purchased many cars from GALPIN ( John the service rep is great) I do use my Vantage for a lot of long road trips. The 101 FWY has always been pretty good up were we live (Oxnard) and further north. We go up to Monterey quite often. I believe in using my cars mostly in good weather when possible, and parking in a secure locations covered, But I do believe in using them. There’s no point in not having a car on the road to enjoy. It I know parts for these cars are not like a Mustang. Luckily I have a few cars so , so the Aston has been resting under cover in the garage since October. I am sure the windshield will come in at some point. I decided to have GALPIN replace the windshield rather than going somewhere else for just the reasons you mentioned they’ll be careful with the car the paint the leather on the dash etc.. plus my insurance is 0 deductible.

not really complaining, I understand that cars / parts like these are not cheap. Just looking for some info on part supply time lines.

I was complaining about it! PO "forgot" to mention the cracked windshield when he sold the car... That was about 10X more than the most expensive windshield I'd ever bought!
I've replaced mine for similar reason, bought mine from astonbits few years ago for about $3k with shipping & had my local windshield guy replaced it, out the door 3.5k

US dealers are expensive. I bought carbon fiber light infills from AM bits, around $900 shipped a few years ago. I inquired at Galpin first and they quoted me something like $1500.
