I've owned my Aston for 15+ years. As regular preventative maintenance I change battery about every 3 years. Yes, I know its $225 + but well worth no electrical headaches. With every replacement I have the old one tested. My last battery, purchased at Sam's, was replace free as they noticed a cell getting weak. No Sam's doesn't do my install. That's up to me. I'm out $500 on batteries and NO trips to the Dealer for 15 years. I've posted before- Astons do funny things when their system have weak batteries or a dead battery issue. Gremlins are released ! f you don't drive your Aston at lease monthly (batteries like to be cycled) then a battery maintainer is the next best thing, My next fresh battery will be Summer of 2025.

Most modern cars don't like weak batteries, so this is a good idea on any car, especially considering the consequences of find out the hard way. So, the exact time depending on the car, I'd definitely replaces the battery between 3 and 6 years. I have a Lincoln that's at 5 years, and its time.
Note that this strategy will not be very cost effective for an electric car.
My charger and magnetic connector came in. I do plan to keep it on trickle as much as possible to avoid a dead battery and the subsequent headache. I've done a lot of searching online to see if Foxwell or Autel make a compatible diagnostic tool that can perform the SRS reset, calibrate the reverse and 360 camera, and tell the ECM it has a new battery. It looks like this is going to be my issue regarding completing any work myself. I would actually spend the 2-3K on a high end Autel model if I knew it would give me all the functionality I need to avoid the dealer. I've owned other import/exotic brands (Alfa Romeo 4C, Maserati Gran Turismo, BMW X5) and this is by far the most difficult car to find any information on. I've also had no luck finding a workshop manual which was also no issue on these other cars. Don't get me wrong, I expected it to be a challenge and this all part of the fun to me.
On another note, I found an oil drain plug that looks to be identical to the one I removed when I did the oil change. I read some bad reviews on the aluminum one I purchased stripping out after heat cycles, so I bought the one in the link below to be prepared for my next oil change.

Ok, very nice! It's about 1.5 hours for me to get there, but sounds like it could be worth it.
I took the car into the dealership service center today to have them hopefully fix all of the issues I have related to the battery going dead on me. The issues were the following,
1) SRS light staying lit.
2) No rear camera or 360 camera. When putting the car in reverse, they are not activated, and I also cannot activate them by selecting the camera button. Also, under vehicle settings there is no place to select camera.
3) Blind spot monitors not working.
4) Missing the following features from vehicle settings (that I am aware of) - the easy exit function where the steering wheel and seat move is no longer there. Also, I do not see the option to fold the side mirrors. These were both there before my battery died.
They were able to reset the SRS light and get the blind spot monitors working. The other items are still not functional. These are all tied to options in the vehicle settings. Everything was functional before the battery died, so I'm thinking of a couple of possible scenarios. One possibility is that there is a hardware failure that seems to have been caused by trying to start the car with low battery voltage. I don't know why this would make sense, but this is the sequence of events as to when I lost these features. It's also possible that a component failed and was actually the cause of draining the battery. It's just odd that it happened the second night of owning the car and only impacts some features. The other possibility is that there is a software issue that the dealer could not identify or correct. They have submitted an inquiry to Aston Martin for assistance.
I'm not really missing these features too much, but it is bothersome that everything was 100% functional until the dead battery. I've checked the camera module fuse, and it is OK. I'm tempted to pull every fuse to verify none are blown, but I'm afraid of any unintended consequences and making things worse.
