How to remove this interior panel

I'd like to get this panel reupholstered (circled in red) along with the gauge cluster cover. What are the steps to take it off so I can get it to an upholstery shop? Car is a 2012 V8VS.

Thanks in advance

An hour or so later... wasn't that bad except for the contortion when trying to get the screws under the glovebox. Now I need to find a decent leather guy who isn't going to rip me off. Been quoted $1.5k CAD ($1,050 USD) to strip and replace the leather on the binnacle, airbag cover and front strip behind the binnacle, does that sound fair or a bit too pricey? Wish me luck.

For those same 3 pieces, I paid $850 USD a couple years ago.
Many factors that come into play, so difficult to compare apples to apples...

That price doesn't seem to be too far out of line. It cost me less a few years ago but everything cost less a few years ago. Replacing any one of those pieces with new parts will cost about as much as you're paying to have all three refinished.

While you've got the glovebox apart, change your cabin filters -- they're from a Mazda RX8.

I'm getting quotes to do the exact same panels now as well. First place told me $1,200, but that's with a high-end shop that works mostly on exotics so I assume they're charging a premium compared to others.
I'm waiting for estimates from a couple of other shops who are more standard places that should be cheaper.

Thanks for the tip, found these ones online that fit the RX8 in case anyone in Canada ends up looking through here. I'm sure the ones sold by Aston are much more expensive

Better yet:
these ones from Amazon these ones from Amazon
for free shipping.

For some closure here, I was able to get the leather redone for $1,150 CAD. The leather isn't exactly the same as the OEM one on the adjacent panels but still high quality so hoping my brain won't notice it every time I get in the car or it'll drive me mad. Also replaced the air filter since I was under the airbag cover, thanks @yvr for the tip.

Looks pretty decent from here. The red stitching looks like a good match too.

The old leather pieces seem a bit shiny next to the new stuff. Cleaning the old ones to get rid of the shine might help.

Also, is the top left corner of the airbag cover riding a bit high? Did the clip there actually snap into place?

I just had mine redone and it's almost the same texture difference as yours also. Even if they had used the exact cow from back then it probably wouldn't be 100% matched, the original leather has many years of weather and temperature exposure. I think after some exposure time and using conditioning products they will even out a bit.

Left is New, right is original.

Just had mine reupholstered. Was $500 for both top panels, plus fresh glue/staples on my binnacle and passenger airbag cover. Leather is indistinguishable from factory.
