Since it's just a small leak I'll just monitor it and keep a piece of cardboard under the car in the garage.
Much appreciated! Sounds like prices are remaining fairly consistent compared to the older information I found. Hopefully this helps other people searching the forums in the future.

Still hoping the hypothesis that this is a loose oil filter is correct, that does seem plausible considering the amount/how suddenly it the leak developed. Get to find out definitively in a few days. Not taking the car out until that appointment which is a bit annoying but at least it's 24 Hours of Le Mans weekend to keep me occupied.

Unfortunately developed what seems like a sudden, significant leak. I can't be sure exactly when it started because I rarely see the floor under my Vantage, but I have a good bit of oil on the ground. Based on how much oil I found after the first time I noticed it, and how much has accumulated again over the past week, I'm guessing this started recently. My car was also on a lift about two months ago and nothing was noticed at that time.

It's 1-1.5 inches wide and about a continuous foot long. My garage floor is slightly tilted rearward which would account for the oil running about a foot to the end of the slab, but this is uninterrupted and a consistent 1-1.5 inches all the way through. The first time I spotted it the oil trail was about as long but thinner, so seems like the leak is increasing over the week I've been watching it. Not sure it's the timing cover but figured that would be a good place to start for potential costs since it's the most common issue.
I had it fixed on my 2007 V8 Vantage about 2 years ago. It was indeed about 24 hours labor, and cost ~$8K total (including an alignment after everything was put back together). A mid-fix photo with everything taken apart at the front end below. If you do go ahead with a fix I'd recommend replacing the belt tensioner while you're at it - newer/better versions are now available, and it's a much easier job when everything is apart like this.

Mine was in at AM Norway in 24, it was 90K Nok (approx 9K Usd) including fixing a small leak at the oil pump and a 4wheel control, one multi belt pulley and oil/cooling liquids. They had it for 1,5 week. It also included new timing chain covers as the original castings were not very good. 06 4,3.

Well just heard back from the local AM dealer and fortunately it's just a loose oil filter like J doubleU and Brightoncorgi were thinking. Very thankful that it's just that. Once they mentioned that idea it did make sense considering the amount of oil on the ground and how suddenly it started. The dealer did want to do an oil change to solve for it (less than 1k miles since my last change) at a rate of $1,500.00.... I paid a hell of a lot less than that at AM of Denver last year for my oil change. Fortunately they agreed to trying just to tighten it first.

This is particularly bad. I think I paid $900.00 at Denver in November last year although at the time I thought that number included other work or I wouldn't have paid that for an oil change either.

Absolutely insane, I'd guess they probably have it worked out that the margin they make on that would make up for any business lost from people who wouldn't accept that high of a cost.

$1600 for an oil change is insane. When I had my '09 Vantage I did my own, and even buying Motul 8100 oil it never cost me more than about 200 in materials, including the AM oil filter. Are they charging $1400 per hour for labor?

Come to think of it, I still have 3 oil change kits from Redpants sitting in the garage, and a 5-qt jug of Motul. My current Vanquish doesn't use the same filter or oil, so if anyone wants to take these off my hands, let me know.

I believe an oil change on the V-8 engine is a lot different that the V-12. As I understand it the V12 uses a different more expensive oil. In addition, getting the filter off is a *****. So, there is more labor and parts costs than a V-8. Now if the V-8 Vantage is worth $500.00 dollars at the dealer (I pay about $400.00 dollars for changing the oil in my Macan) then how much more is the V-12 oil change worth. Aston techs are getting $300.00 dollars and more per hour. If the dealer charges another $100.00 dollars in parts and another one hour in labor. Thats $900.00 for changing the oil and filter in a V-12. IMHO still too much. Frankly $1600.00 dollars borders on gouging.

My car is a V8, so makes the $1,500.00 oil change even worse. Can confirm the local dealer did have labor costs at $300.00 or so. I have heard that getting the filter off can be an absolute pain but even with that being considered I still don't know how $1,500.00 is justified, especially as the $200.00 or so in materials certainly isn't what a dealer is paying. I'm still waiting to hear from Aston of Denver, it looks like my issue may be either an issue with installation or a defective filter. If they cover it then I'll have the local AM dealer do the work, if not then I'm certainly not going back for a $1,500.00 oil change.
