AM V8V clutches

I have a 2007 V8 Vantage with 39K in need of a new clutch. Is there a multiplate out there that isn’t $4+K?

I would reach out to Kentucky Clutch up in Brooks. No personal experience but a few Vantage folks have been impressed. At least you can get a baseline estimate for OEM clutch resurfacing etc, not sure if they have done any twin plate installations or rebuilds.

Thank you, I first heard of them today. They are not far from me. I had the same question regarding if they were into the newer twin plates. I’ll find out! Thanks!

Thanks. Yes, seems to be the one most talked about. The price was scaring me off. I’ll call them. Thanks again!

I have no first hand information but heard Kentucky Clutch uses a much better clutch material. YouTube has a guy in Florida who has a channel on car repair. He buys totaled cars and rebuilds them. He was repair in his Vantage and used Kentucky Clutch. I think his channel is something like Scarmac. But he has some details on what Kentucky Clutch did, the cost and the rebuild process.

Kentucky Clutch just repaired my AMR Twin Plate clutch. It was seamless and very inexpensive. They told me that they have done about 100 Aston clutches since the SAMRAC video. My mechanic was impressed with the upgraded material on the clutch and I think the clutch feels great.

Resurfaced both. I sent the clutch and flywheel to KY Clutch per their request. If I did not already have an AMR clutch, I would have just bought the Velocity AP kit by the way Their kit is almost a mandatory upgrade for these cars. Resurfacing a twin plate clutch was maybe 1/3rd the price of a new clutch and I wanted to try out KY Clutch. I am a fan now.

good to know thanks. VAP use the AM friction material as they say they are still trying to dial in their own. let us know if you still like the KY friction material after 10 or 20k miles please.
also if you have a Foxwell or similar please post your new CluTuneCL value (assuming you have ASM)
i would appreciate it
cheers
