I know, it's . I can imagine opening up the trunk to show off my matching licensed chess and champagne sets to the ladies. Now that is hot.

I think it will be around $200K - could be $250k ..

The chess set is very design and I love it. I however find it, along with the champagne, kinda tacky in a car and hope it won't be on the production cars, even as an option.

The entire prototype car is showcasing many different bits of officially licensed AM merchandise.

I spotted the Jaeger leCoultre watch design in the center console clock, the Nokia 8800 phone is the special AM edition as well as the champagne, chess set and also a set of playing cards and dice with AM logos..

None of these things will make it into the production car, it's just for show (and for ordering out of the merch catalogue for serious fans).

The only merch I've purchased (so far) is a black fleece pull over, and even in that I feel self conscious.

The Rapid would be directly at the Bentley Flying Spur, thy both have similar seat layout full 4 seater,i dont know about size though i would assume the Flying Spur is bigger (its the about the same size as an Arnage). Am very curious as to what the Peformance figures will, since thats where The GT/GTC and Flying Spur have an advantage. As for pricing of $250,000 that would be Bentley Arnage's (and coming Baby Rolls Royce and Baby Maybach) territory and not the Flying Spur (even the M-benz S65) range $150,000-$185,000.

Also since the Rapide is a 4 door i would also assume that it would full the model Gap and narrow price gap between the DB9 coupe (about $160,000) and DB9 Volanta (about $180,000). Anyways reguardless of all those things ,this car is DAMM HOT,the only thing i can say is "WHY SO LATE?", the Rapide should have been out when the Bentley (VW lol) brought the Flying Spur.

I hope you're right. $250k sounds a little much for this car. If it was priced to compete with the Bent Flying Spur it would be more attractive.

Time will tell!

Dinko
