.... and ruin your motor/throw a code. Audi and VW engines were designed to use diverter valves rather than blow-off valves. Switching to a forged diverter valve (as opposed to the stock rubber & plastic one) will make the car more reliable and improve throttle response (slightly).

But judging by your syntax and grammar, are you sure hondas aren't more your speed?

By design diverted valves do not give the "woosh" sound that blow off valves do. But they're what the car is designed to have. Audis were designed to be more luxury focused, and therefore quiet by design. Get the right exhaust, a CAI, and a bigger turbo and you won't be disappointed by the sound of the car.

Also, the car looks pretty good, more photos?

710N Diverter Valves are perfectly suitable, I don't see any reason why'd you'd need anything more than that.

yeah, i agree with the ****** above... lol jk jared

The sound of the 710s when you have exhaust and chip will sound good. Not loud like a BOV, but deffinately a better sound. Sounds like the engine is taking a big breath! lol

Forge 004, HKS SSQ, Tial 50mm, or any of the hybrid/splitter (half recirc/half vent) valves work PERFECTLY fine on the 1.8T. They cause a rich instant as soon as you lift from the throttle but within a split second its back to normal. There are no ill affects performance wise, it will not throw a CEL, nor will it make the car run incorrectly. THose of you saying otherwise are on crack and have either 1) Never tried it, or 2) Listen to everyone else that doesnt know what there talking about. While a DV is the preferred for a MAF equipped car, BOV's have been ran for quite sometime and run no differently than a DV. And FYI, the MAF sensor on the 1.8T is used primarily for idle stabilization, as soon as the car is in boost the ECU relies primarily off the MAP sensor and the wideband 02 sensor to keep A/F in check, not the MAF

Ruin your motor, wow. Might want to learn/know a thing or two before you spout off comments like that!
