All we know is the final body-work is being carefully hidden. The spy video and pics could very well be mules with RS5 running gear but certainly not the final body.

Engine will be a tweaked version of the RS4/R8 NA 4.2 FSI producing 450hp, no turbo's, mated to an S-tronic gearbox.

The latest information I have from Audi is to expect an announcement/car reveal at a motor show early 2010? (too long I know). If this is BS and they announce earlier the likely shows would be:

Geneva 1-15 March 2009
Frankfurt 17-27 September 2009

Otherwise, LA or Detroit shows?

 

In Dutch car magazines everyone speaks of a V8, two turbo's, 500HP.

 

Isn't the engine still just speculation so far?

 

Someone well informed about this car has told me that the RS5 will have a 4.2 V8 twin turbo with over 450 CV. For Europe it will have 19" rims stock.

 

no one knows so quit acting like you know.

If you hear the video sound especially from the car coming out of the stop sign, to me it sound like a N/A engine and no turbos. I can see how Audi can 'squeeze' another 30hp out of the 4.2 FSI B7 RS4 engine. Adding turbos will raise the price and perhaps category of the car, and instead of it being seen as competing against the E92 M3, it will be more in the M6 territory.
