Any owners here who have owned both models?
Would love to hear some observations and likes/dislikes.

Hello John,

Not on topic, just wanted to present the newly acquired turbo:

I was looking at 2010 Audi S5-s for a while but after realizing that it did not come close to the 997tt performance, I opted for this beauty. She will be going back to Deutchland with me soon

John,
I don't have personal experience with this, but I know someone local to me that sold his V8, just took delivery of a V10, has tracked both and has also driven both the V8 and V10 at Infineon. He says the suspension is softer on the V10, which I believe (and would assume) is a disappointment to him, but that the R-Tronic is much improved with the V10. I don't think he posts on 6Speed, but will likely see him at the track later this year. He should have better feedback then.

Thanks for the feedback. Easy enough to upgrade suspension.
How is your rig running? Since I am not near a dealer, I too think the tt v8 may be the way to go. Is there a running thread on your build?

John,
Yes, there is a thread on it, but it got botched and sidetracked. I have a confidentiality agreement with EVOMS, so hopefully they start another one. They are just getting going on putting it all together. Had to wait FOREVER for the internals to be made and shipped from Germany. They are aiming to have my car running by the end of August. It is going to be full motor build, two big turbos, high HP.

The bolt on application from either EVOMS or Heffner is very interesting vs the V10. Both companies are getting over 500 hp at the wheels, with modest boost. More HP, lighter car.

Ouch! Okay, I feel (a little) better

Thank you very much, John. I will keep you in the loop of a new thread. Even better, when it is done I will PM you to see where you live. I plan to drive it back from AZ via California, Oregon, WA, so I could meet up with you.

That would be great, can drive north with you for a while. I can set you up on some great road options all the way up, but you probably have your own favorites. I can put you up at the inn if you want to overnight in Mendocino. Great little oceanside village.
